School Council Update

School Council Update September 2025

Welcome to the sixth edition of the Le Page Primary School Council update for 2025.

What was on our Agenda.

  • The recently completed school review and our NAPLAN results were discussed; we are waiting for draft 4-year goals to be established by our reviewer. We hope that these will be sent through to us early in term 4. As previously mentioned, it was an overwhelmingly positive process and the school improvement team along with the entire staff were engaged and supportive.
  • We still haven’t received feedback from Council on our community consultation submission on the proposed traffic and car park changes on Argus Street. We will continue to chase them.
  • We continue to wait the outcome of the VSBA grant for the oval refurbishment, announcements are expected in term 4.
  • School payment (fees) structure for 2026 was discussed and approved. Payment plans will be available in 2026 again.
  • 2026 curriculum days were discussed the full list of proposed dates will be discussed and approved at the next meeting.
  • Suburban Rail Loop grants are opened; we discussed possible ideas for the submissions.
  • Le Page Park Master plan community consultation is opened; we will work on our submission to ensure it has the best outcome for the whole Le Page community. (including our school)
