HOT  SHOT  TENNIS  NEWS!

On Wednesday 15th November our year 6 boys hot shots tennis team competed at Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre at the Southern Metro Regional event. They were in a pool with two other schools. They beat Lakeside Pakenham first and then beat Brentwood Park to make the grand final. The GF was an all-local final with the winners from the other pool being St Paul's. from Bentleigh! Our team took out the singles 8-0 and did not need to play the doubles as they had won.

The final stage of this amazing team's journey will be the state final on Tuesday 21st November at Kooyong. Good luck!

VALKSTONE IS THE STATE 

HOT SHOTS TENNIS CHAMPION FOR 2023

On Tuesday 21st November, the Grade 6 Hot Shots Tennis Team (consisting of Matvey, Juan, Faris, Alan, Alon, Sujay, Ari, Ilay, Rocky and Ricky) travelled by train to Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club. The team was in a pool of 4, with the other pool also having 4 teams. 

The Valkstone team beat the three teams in their pool convincingly and proceeded through to the Grand Final against Livingston Primary School. Everyone was very nervous, as they knew the next few matches would be the hardest for the day. 

After the singles matches the score was 4 all in sets -- it could not have been any closer! It all came down to the doubles. The doubles matches were incredibly close. The boys won 3 out of the 4 doubles, meaning they won on the day 7 sets to 5! 

Valkstone are state champs! 

We are incredibly proud of your achievements, and you all have bright tennis futures ahead. Well done!
