Spotlight on Word Choice in Year 2 Writing!

Our Year 2 students have been working hard to continue to improve their writing. They have been learning to use precise words to make their writing more engaging, interesting and captivating for their readers. Students use a purple pencil or pen to identify words in their writing that they can "uplevel" and then use strategies such as a Word Cline or Frayer Model to extend their vocabulary. The Word Cline is like a ladder that helps students see how they can strengthen their word choices.
