Early Learning

This week we say goodbye to our Kinder children. Most of the children in our 3-year-old groups will continue on with us next year, and we look forward to continuing to learn and grow with them. Some of the children in our 4-year-old groups are continuing on with their education at King's, while others are venturing off to new schools either locally or further away.

God has promised us that we are to be “strong and courageous…. Because the Lord God is with you wherever you will go”. Our lives are ever-changing and we are always growing in experience, maturity and wisdom. During each season of our lives, God is interested in our experiences and desires to be with us in all life’s events.

This year we have seen our Kinder children grow and mature and they are so ready for the exciting new prospects they will continue to uncover. We have particularly witnessed growth in their confidence, identity, social and emotional learning, dispositions for learning, language... actually I could just keep going on! We are very blessed to work with this age group, where there is so much change in such a short period of time.

Some of this special time has been captured by the children in the Possum group, who took turns using an SLR camera in the role of "Kinder Photographer". As educators we have enjoyed looking at the results of their photography, which tell a story of how they view their world, and the things that are important to them.

We are thankful to be able to share our love of God with the children in our care, as the most important thing we can teach. We pray that each one of you Possums, Echidnas, Koalas and Wombats will continue to know God and His great love for you.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” - Matthew 19:14.
