Help Seeking
In these challenging times, it is important to normalise asking for help. Students learn to recognise situations in which to seek help, how to identify trusted people in their lives and how to ask for help and provide help.
‘It is important to help people when they need help and we need to ask for help.’ (Leigh 2A)
‘We had to write down the names of people that we trust and not just people at school.’ (Yarden 2A)
‘When we need help, we ask people that can actually help – not just friends.’ (Hannah)
‘You should be grateful for all the things that you have and respect everyone. You should help those in need.’ (Alex 2A)
‘It is okay to ask for help if you don’t know something.’ (Nithilla 2A)
Affirmation Cards
During ‘Wellbeing & Respectful Relationship Week’ the students in 2C created beautiful Affirmation Cards. An affirmation is a statement that encourages positive thinking and self-confidence. Please have a look at the display next to the sliding doors.
Friendship Balloons
During Open Morning the Year 3 students made ‘Friendship Balloons’.
They thought about the qualities that make a good friend and the qualities they have which makes them a good friend.
