Principal's Message

With Ms Reynolds

Congratulations on 2023!

On behalf of the staff of GEPS I would like to thank our students, parents and community for a productive and rewarding year.

Our warm wishes go to our Year 6 students who are leaving GEPS to start a new journey - good luck and don't forget to come back to visit us!

Farewell also to any family leaving GEPS - we wish you well.

This year, our school has been exploring the theme of Celebrating Young Heroes. Not the ones with capes and masks, but the ones who showed us that heroism lives within us all. And fittingly, our classes were named after extraordinary ordinary heroes—people like Taylah Gray, Awer Mabil and Bindi Irwin

Taylah shows us the power of speaking up for Indigenous rights; Awer's courage and resilience to fight for better outcomes for refugees teaches us empathy; and Bindi taught us the power of connecting with nature and caring for our planet.

And so, to our young heroes - the students of GEPS - each one of you carries a bit of Taylah's spirit, Bindi's passion, and Awer's courage within you. You've shown us that being a hero isn't just about extraordinary acts; it's about the everyday choices you make, the kindness you show, and the hurdles you overcome. Congratulations on a wonderful year of learning, laughing, leading and listening!

Enjoy the 6 week break. Rest, relax, connect with family and stay safe.

School is back Thursday 1st Feb.
