Career Discovery Interviews

In Term 4, our Year 7 students individually interviewed different industry professionals as part of their Career Exploration Unit in Careers Education. Our Year 7 students used their strengths, skills, and qualities to facilitate a conversation. The students discovered types of work, employment skills, and any advice in the industry and for their Career Development Journey. The students absolutely loved being a part of this activity, and we are extremely proud of them for being brave and being true.

We are extremely fortunate that we had different professions available to work with our students such as –

• Paramedic
• Nurse
• Firefighter/Aviation (Australian Defence Force)
• Boatswain Mate/Navy (Australian Defence Force)
• Senior Constable Police Officer
• Teacher/Learning Leader
• Business Owner/Director
• Leisure/Recreation Manager

Careers Connect 2023 allowed our students to Discover their strengths and talents, and we can’t wait to Explore the World of Work and their place in it, in 2024.
