Visual Art

In a burst of creativity, our Year 7 students have spent this term diving into the world of design with a unique and exciting challenge: crafting their own skateboard deck masterpieces.

The challenge presented to the students was to design a skateboard deck that reflected something significant or captivating to them. It was an opportunity for them to express their individuality and explore the intersection of art and personal passion.

Their designs ranged from intricate patterns and abstract forms to detailed representations of their interests. The mastery of line drawing was evident in the precision and finesse with which they translated their visions onto the skateboard decks.

Moreover, the thoughtful consideration of colour schemes demonstrated not only an understanding of aesthetics but also a keen eye for harmonising hues.

The project not only honed the students’ artistic skills but also fostered a sense of pride in their individuality. It served as a reminder that art is a powerful medium for self-expression and a celebration of what makes each of us unique.

Kind Regards,
