Year 5/6 Mainstream Celebrating Learning

Last week, we walked down to the Croxton Community Garden beside the Croxton Station to support our research for our own garden space designs. We were fortunate enough to have some members of the garden’s community group share the story of the garden and provide some insight into how the garden was designed and future plans for improvements.

Poppy says: It was nice. I like how they used the garden beds that were above ground. I liked how it was a nice open space and they had lots of different plants that could survive next to the train tracks.

Bert says: It was pretty cool. I found it interesting that there were lots of quite complicated filtration systems for watering. There were lots of different pipes and hoses. I thought the worm farms were pretty cool.

Luna says: I liked how it gave me lots of thoughts and ideas for my own project. It was really fun being able to wander around and see all the plants that had been growing and looking at the different pots and things.
