From the Sports Desk…

On Thursday 9th November, 31 boys from Year 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to participate in the Eastern Region Netball Boys Invitational Gala day at Knox Regional Netball Centre in Ferntree Gully. The event was the first time it had been run and was aimed to provide greater opportunity for boys to play and appreciate the game of netball.

There were 46 schools and 59 teams competing on the day and our school had 3 teams in A, B and C division. We all played really well and had so much fun learning the game of netball. Every team played six games, and we tried our hardest. Some schools were really strong. We all showed great sportsmanship and some people even got prizes from Netball Victoria like down balls and frisbees for not giving up .

We would like to thank Mrs Carbone for organising this event, training us over lunchtimes and for coaching on the day. We would also like to thank Miss Grigg and Jess K who also coached on the day. It was a really good day and we all really enjoyed the experience!
