Art Show & Soiree

Every second year,  we host an Art Show and Soiree to honor the Arts. This exciting event is scheduled for next Wednesday in the Arts Centre Foyer. The Art Show, is open for viewing between 4:00- 5:00 pm and 5:30- 6:30 pm.

Mrs Moore, a truly gifted artist, has curated an Art Show to display our students artistic talents. She creates an environment where students explore and develop their unique art pieces, fostering creativity and individual expression.

Miss Sarah and Mrs Bowen have also diligently coordinated and rehearsed students who successfully auditioned for the Soiree. This event will showcase our talented students in singing, dancing, and musical instrument performances.

The Soiree will begin at 6:30 pm in the Arts Centre. Performing students are requested to arrive at 6:15 pm. While invitations have been extended to parents and guests of the performers, other community members are welcome. Please note that seating priority will be given to family members, and there will be limited standing room.

To further support our students and the arts program, a gold coin donation is kindly requested from attendees to visit the Art Show and/or watch the Soiree. We are looking forward to showcasing the talent and creativity of the students at POPS.

Warrandyte Community Bank Function

Last Monday, I had the privilege of attending an event honoring the various community groups that received grants from the Warrandyte Community Bank. We were fortunate to recieve $25000 from the bank for our Indigenous Sensory Garden. It was a truly uplifting evening, showcasing the remarkable work of diverse organisations and their impactful projects. One standout was the Park Orchards Netball Club, which has established an admirable leadership program aimed at empowering older girls to develop essential leadership skills, fostering connections, and becoming role models within the Netball Club.

What struck me most about the Warrandyte Community Bank is its commitment to reinvesting the money it generates back into the community. If you're contemplating a switch in banks, explore the Warrandyte Community Bank. It is a financial institution that invests in the community.
