Dance Enrichment

Year 8 Enrichment Program Dance students have been developing their knowledge and expertise in the art of Jazz dance. With students learning some basic Jazz movements such as jazz turns and jazz hands the class has commenced learning an extended Jazz dance routine to Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’. Friday classes are allocated to experimenting with props and group work where students have introduced top hats and gloves to their jazz improvisations. All students have shown high aspiration and courage with some major standouts including: Mackenzie Brown, Chloe Naughton, Harmony Robb, Holly Muscat, Tiana Stojovanoski and Emily Croft. Students will perform a final whole class performance showcasing their Jazz skills in a filmed production of ‘Poker Face’ as their final Dance assessment for the year.
