Caz Goodwin - Year 1 & 2 Author Visit

On Monday 20th May we had Caz Goodwin visit with Little Matilda to speak with our Year 1 & 2 students.  It was a varied presentation with a video reading of “Daisy runs wild”, discussions about Koalas and their babies, writing tips and bad jokes.  We were so excited to have Caz here, as one of her books is shortlisted for the Children’s Book of the Year award.

Unfortunately, Davina Bell who was coming to talk to our Year 3 & 4’s had to suddenly cancel her visit on Tuesday 21st May, but we have rescheduled her visit to Tuesday 25th June.

Today Joel McKerrow, a graphic novelist and slam poet presented to our Year 5 & 6’s. He was full of energy and did some performance poetry.

Sofie Laguna will be here on Friday 24th May, getting our Foundation students involved in a play from one of her books. 

Book Club

I have included a link to Book Club Issue 4, as many of you may have received a $5.00 gift voucher when ordering from Issue 3.  Please use the following link to access the online catalogue, as we only do one paper Book Club catalogue each term.  Please order online before 9:00am Monday 10th June,  and the books will be delivered to the school free of charge.
