Dear Bathurst Public School Community,

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of a special addition to our school – a street library donated by the talented members of the Men's Shed at the Lower Fort Street Community Centre in Sydney!

After a delightful month on display at Darling Harbour, this charming library has now found its new home here at Bathurst Public School. The street library is designed to house books specifically for children learning English as a second language, starting with a wonderful collection of Arabic books, each personally signed by one of the residents from Lower Fort Street.

This initiative not only promotes literacy but also celebrates the diversity of our community. We are excited to see how our students will benefit from this resource and look forward to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, no matter where they come from.
