Year 6 Camp - The Ranch Mornington Peninsula

Our Grade 6 students attended a 3-day camp at 'The Ranch Mornington Peninsula'.  The students participated in a range of adventure activities including horse riding, giant swing, rock climbing, pamper pole and mountain boarding.  When engaged in these activities, students were encouraged to step out of their comfort zone by being brave and courageous.  An example of this may have been from just putting on a harness or by going all the way to the top of the giant swing.  Our students embraced every challenge and opportunity, demonstrating our school values at all times.  I could not be prouder of how our Grade 6 students represented our school.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who made this camp possible. Firstly, a shout out to our Grade 6 team, Mr Packham and Miss Boucher for their organisation and planning. The camp ran flawlessly. Thank you also to the staff who attended. Mr Packham, Miss Boucher, Miss Slann, Paul and Ms Davy.

Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported our Bunnings BBQ fundraiser last Saturday at Bunnings Mentone. The event was a tremendous success, thanks to the fantastic weather and the constant stream of customers throughout the day.

A special thank you goes out to all the parents and carers who volunteered their time to cook and sell sausages. Your dedication and hard work were instrumental in making the day enjoyable for everyone. We also want to extend our thanks to the families who came out to purchase a sausage in bread. Your participation and support truly made a difference.

Additionally, we owe a huge thank you to our fabulous Parents' Committee for their organisation of the event. The day ran flawlessly, and your efforts never go unnoticed. Lastly, a big thank you to our admin team for their crucial behind-the-scenes work, ensuring that all the necessary products were purchased and ready for the day.

Once again, thank you to everyone involved. Your support helps us continue to provide valuable resources and opportunities for our school community. We look forward to more successful fundraising events in the future!

CEPS Community Working Bee - Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Saturday 25 May, we will be holding our Term 2 Working Bee from 9.00am-12.00pm. We would love to see as many families as possible to assist us with some of our routine maintenance. These jobs include but are not limited to, weeding, shovelling/raking mulch, painting, pruning, removing leaf clutter etc.

If you can attend, feel free to bring the following tools should you have them available.

  • Shovels/Spades
  • Wheelbarrows
  • Gardening gloves
  • Rakes
  • Buckets
  • Leaf blowers

In alignment with the Department of Education's OHS compliance, we will not be asking parents/carers to use power tools (outside of leaf blowers and qualified tradespeople).

Have a wonderful weekend,

Robert Ridgway
