Welcome to our new eNewsletter!

Dear MCHF Community,

Welcome to the new look digital newsletter.  It will be issued monthly. We hope to capture as many events in this new-look newsletter for your information. As you will see there is excellent work happening from K-12. We are very much focussed on building our students holistically – spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially. Parents play an important role in working closely with staff to ensure children attain their full potential.

We are midway through the term and students should be buckling down and studying for their exams and completing all assessment tasks to the best of their ability. Also please ensure students are rugged up in the cold weather and anyone who has the flu should remain at home.

Sr Margaret Ghosn

Executive Principal

Dear MCHF Community

Welcome to our first edition of our new monthly eNewsletter. The new format of our newsletter is a goal of our current strategic plan to establish and implement a marketing strategy for the College. The new format will allow our readers in our community to access the news and information from their phones, laptops, iPads or any other device. The monthly releasing of the newsletter will allow us to capture the monthly highlights, accomplishments and successes of our students learning journey. Reminders and important information will now be communicated through the Parent Portal and social media platforms will be to continue promoting College events and initiatives.

Our College is committed to providing opportunities for every student to achieve to their capability and a pathway towards their journey of growth. This is our theme for this year “JOURNEY OF GROWTH”. This theme aligns with our mission to accompany our students in the realisation of their potential through the inspiration of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family. The journey will have it’s challenges along the way; however, we are committed to journey with each and every student to ensure they have the opportunity to achieve.

The opportunities we provide at the College are endless. Already this month the following opportunities have been provided for our students:

  • ANZAC Ceremonies
  • Primary Athletics Program
  • Primary STEM Day
  • Mother’s Day celebrations – Gift Stall, Mass and Morning Tea
  • Mock Trial
  • Month of May – Visit of Mother Mary to classrooms
  • WSU Nursing and Midwifery Event
  • Faith celebrations including liturgies and reflection days
  • Sporting events including representing the College in sporting events and gala days

The opportunities are endless, and our students are challenged to grow in faith, strive for excellence and transform the future. This is our vision for our College and it is vital that we are all in it together in this journey toward success. This includes parents and families supporting and cooperating with the College standards and expectations for the betterment of their child’s learning journey. The College is blessed to have families who value education in the Maronite Catholic faith and traditions. We are also blessed to have a Parent Association who volunteer their time and efforts to assist the College in fundraising and other events.

Our Secondary students are preparing to undertake their mid-course exams and preparing for their student led conferences at the end of the term. Our Primary students participated in their student led conferences on Monday 20th May and it was great to hear some of the learning that had been occurring so far this year.

Therefore, we continue to encourage and challenge our students to achieve their best in their journey of growth and we look forward to celebrating their achievements and successes in the future.

God bless

Elie Asmar
