We have had some of our students share with us about some recent changes at home around rules for using devices. We applaud your efforts, and encourage you to keep these boundaries and healthy routines.

As part of the Year 5/6 curriculum, students are involved in a sexual education program each year which is currently run by About Real Life. This program includes a parent session that allows the facilitator to touch on topics that will be discussed and allow parents to ask questions. Students are then involved in 1 session a week over 3 weeks and targets age appropriate content.  Sexuality education begins at home and is supported by schools as a part of a broader health curriculum aimed at maximising children’s wellbeing. About Real Life programs are sensitive to parents’/carers’ values and beliefs, and provide an excellent starting point for family discussion about human sexuality and respectful relationships.
