Junior School Principal Report

Music Showcase

I had the pleasure of attending the music showcase on Wednesday night. It was magnificent to see 200+ members of our community in the crowd. There is nothing like the buzz of performing to a full house and it's fair to say our students were excited.

It was sad to say goodbye to our wonderful Year 12 musicians, but equally it was thrilling to have our Junior band perform as a group for the first time. Well done to Mr Jaaz whose guidance has made this possible in less than 6 months!

There were so many highlights - from our wonderful chorale performing Back pocket, to Isaac and his piano solos but my favourite came at the end of the night with the Concert band and their two outstanding numbers, I particularly enjoyed the Defenders of the Realm.

A big thanks go to all of the staff that made it possible: Our music team: Simon, Jaaz, Lauren, Luke, Andrew, Mat, Matthew, Rachel who were supported behind the scenes by Fiona, Lucy and Mel.

Yr 7 Science and Geography excursions

The year 7 students headed off to Brighton, Warrandyte and Healesville to finish off their units on Biology and Liveability. A big thanks to our Science and Humanities teachers for organising these opportunities and for all the staff that went out for the day.... especially those that had to walk up the big hill!

Outdoor Ed update

Change of plans! As I'm sure you are aware we unfortunately fell victim to an unseasonally warm winters day in the lead up to the ski day, this has been replaced by a new activity called "River Sledding". A big thanks to Mr Wilmott for pivoting to ensure students get another action packed activity.
