R U OK? Day

Our annual R U OK? Day was another tremendous success. Thank you to our students for embracing the day and participating in activities including the popular Dunk Tank, the interactive farm animal exhibit, food trucks and organised games. There was such a wonderful carnival atmosphere, that underpinned raising money for a worthwhile cause. Thank you to parents and staff who also contributed donations, helping the College to raise $1325 to support the R U OK? organisation to continue the work that they do.

A big shout out to Jacki Landy and Kiera Foley, our Wellbeing Counsellors for organising the day and reminding us to encourage others to stay connected and have conversations that help others through difficult times. It is an important message that needs to be shared.

As a College, we take great pride in the social consciousness of our student who support fundraising causes throughout the year. Our Student Representative Council (SRC) meet early in the year to discuss the charities that each year level would like to support. Traditionally, today is our annual footy day, full of team colours and camaraderie. As a College community, all profits from today's activities will be donated to  MND. Our Year 10 students organised the out of uniform day and the BBQ. There was music and a staff versus student football match. At the same time, our canteen  donated slices to raise even more money for MND.  A big thank you to both students and families for getting behind another worthy cause.

Have a relaxing school holiday break

Whilst Term 3 was 'only' 9 weeks long, it has certainly been a big one for students and staff. It began with 3 camps: Music, Snow and Year 8 and finished with the Production, Presentation Ball and the Music Showcase. There is much to look ahead to in Term 4. We will celebrate the conclusion of 13 years of schooling with our Year 12s at their Valedictory Dinner, then prepare to welcome almost 200 Year 6 students at various events throughout the term.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all students and staff a restful break and quality time with family and friends.
