From our Principal

Christine Pillot

There has been a positive vibe across Croydon SDS this week as students and staff engaged in RUOK activities to promote how we can care and look out for each other.   We've also had lots of fun participating in Footy Day festivities, while the weather was not on our side in the morning, we all enjoyed an online parade walking around and singing along to our favourite football team theme song.

New School Website

We have been working with a company to help us create a new school website.  We updated our written content, photos and videos to showcase our school facilities and programs. We are on track to launch our new website next term; keep a lookout for this!

Showcase and Shine

Next term we look forward to our annual whole school community event, the Showcase and Shine.  We encourage families to save the date to come and join in the fun.  This will be on Wednesday 3 December, 5-7pm.

School Master Plan Stage 2 - Message from Bec (School Council President)

Now that stage one of our building master plan is complete, we are now thinking ahead for stage two. We are reaching out to hear what you would like to see for your child’s future at school; what building, facilities and resources they need to help them be successful.  If you would like write a letter or note about what you would like to see at Croydon SDS, it would be great to hear from you. Please address any letters to Bec Gilmore, School Council President. These can be emailed to the school to be passed on; croydon.sds@education.vic.gov.au

Your input is important to us, and we hope to use this to help us work towards the next stage of building.

Thank you.

Bec Gilmore - School Council President

2026 Planning

We have commenced planning for 2026.  We have five students graduating at the end of this year and we have at least six students commencing in Foundation, with potential for there to more.  As we know, some families are waiting for assessments to determine eligibility.

We are planning for 14 classes next year, one in Early Education, four in Primary 1, four in Primary 2 and five across Secondary and Senior Secondary.

School Grounds

Hopefully you have noticed how lovely our grounds are looking at the moment.  Our maintenance man, Al together with a grounds and maintenance company have worked intensively on many of our garden beds and ground areas across the school tidying these. New plants, fences have been installed and tan bark has been laid.  Our school grounds are looking cared for and beautiful.  Our older areas now blend in much nicer with the building project newly landscaped spaces.

New Trampoline

We have recently purchased a new above ground trampoline with wall safety nets for our primary play space, this will be placed on the new grass area outside the library.  As we know, many students enjoy jumping on a trampoline; we feel this will be a popular addition to play/regulation activities.

School Break

Wishing everyone an enjoyable school break with plenty of rest ready for term 4.  We look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed ready for a big final term.
