What's On In Visual Arts

Prep

This term our Foundation students have been exploring clay. Using found objects, foraged leaves, sticks and gumnuts the Preps made impressions in their clay before carefully moulding it into a shallow bowl shape.

1/2

The Grade 1/2s have been learning all about the ancient origins of Pottery! Exploring techniques involving coils, students crafted wonderful vessels or bowls being sure to smooth and join each individual coil!

3/4

Other worldly tunnel books by the Grade 3/4s. Students created miniature paper worlds linking to the theme of Book Week this year ‘Book an Adventure.’ The 3/4s learned about creating depth through layering and perspective.

5/6

Reverse perspective ‘Dream Room’ by the Grade 5/6s. These mind bending artworks have been carefully created with precision and dedication by our Senior students. Students first had to learn the rules of one point perspective before they could apply this to their reverse perspective dream rooms.
