What's On In Chinese

Chinese at Whitehorse

Our students have been enthusiastically engaging with their Chinese learning this term. In celebration of Father’s Day, students combined creativity with language skills by designing their own Father’s Day cards and some students writing heartfelt messages in Chinese.

Our junior students have been focusing on learning colours in Chinese. Through songs, games, and hands-on activities, they have been developing both their listening and speaking skills while building confidence in using the language.

Senior students have been extending their knowledge by creating and presenting both spoken and written texts. They have been applying a wide range of vocabulary and modelled sentence structures, while also learning the conventions appropriate to different text types. To support their learning, they have been reading and writing with familiar Hanzi, with the aid of Pinyin as a guide.
