Smile Squad are at school!
All children deserve a healthy smile, and the Echuca Regional Health Smile Squad Dental team are here to help make sure this happens for the students at Rochester Primary School.
Smile Squad is a Victorian Government program that provides free dental care to all Victorian government primary and secondary school students.
The friendly Smile Squad dental team will visit Rochester Primary School during Term 3, to conduct a free annual dental health examination for every student and provide free follow up treatment as needed.
What do you need to do?
We need your consent before we can provide services. Consent is usually provided by a parent or guardian.

The Smile Squad team will check the student’s teeth and mouth and show them how to keep their teeth healthy and strong. They will also provide any preventive services you have consented for. If the student needs more treatment, the Smile Squad will discuss this and seek consent.
Do I need to attend my child’s appointment?
No, you do not need to attend your child’s appointment.
CANTEEN NEWS
Hot Dog Meal Deal
The Canteen is having a hot dog meal deal on Thursday 18th September. Order forms have been sent home.
No Canteen - Friday 5th September,
LAST DAY OF CANTEEN THIS TERM WILL BE WEDNESDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER.
A reminder to please check that you are using the up-to-date Menu when ordering as it has been noted that several orders do not have the correct money enclosed.
ALSO - please do not write on your order what your child does not want. eg. if they are ordering a Chicken Burger with lettuce, cheese & mayo and do not want lettuce and mayo simply write CHICKEN BURGER WITH CHEESE.
ILLNESS & MEDICATION
All medication to be administered to students must be accompanied by written advice providing directions for appropriate storage and administration, in the original bottle or container clearly labelled with the name of the student, dosage and time to be administered. Parents/guardians are asked to consider whether they can
administer medication outside the school day, such as before and after school and before bed.
STUDENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Parents are reminded that Rochester Primary School does not provide personal accident insurance for students. There are some companies that provide this service if parents wish to take out a policy. Below is the contact details of one such company. All contact regarding these matters must be done through the company and not the school. Canteen (secondary college) is now in operation.
Lunch orders must be in by 9.10am or they cannot be filled.
