YEAR 8
Year 8 Key Information
- Over the next few weeks, students in Year 8 will have assessments due. This can include drafts and finals for assignments and revision for formative and summative exams. All students are emailed an assessment calendar early in the term to ensure they can plan ahead and complete their assessment to the best of their ability in time for the due date. Your child’s teachers are happy to answer any questions and concerns you may have.
- Several Year 8 students are performing in the Annie Jr. College Musical next week. Many of these students perform on stage and assist with props, backstage, and lighting. We cannot wait to watch these performances across the week!

Whole of College Key Information
ST MARY'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
This week, we celebrated our annual St Mary’s Feast Day through Mass and community activities showcasing the many talents across the College. It was wonderful to sit in our community houses during Mass and hear about the founders of each house, led by our 2024 House Captains. During the day, many staff were vulnerable, allowing students to donate money to soak teachers at ‘The Soaker’, one of many activities. We look forward to the next St Mary’s Day in 365 days!
ANNIE JR.
Final preparations are underway for our Annie Jr. College Musical! Next week, we are excited to see many students and staff in our community put on what we know will be the show of the year! The highly anticipated event will be performed in our Hugh O’Brien Centre; we look forward to seeing the production set come to life! Excitingly, tickets to the Friday performance have entirely sold out. However, limited tickets to Wednesday and Thursday performances can still be purchased through the link below. Good luck to all involved in this wonderful event!
PENINSULA TRACK & FIELD
We wish students the best of luck trialling for the Peninsula Track and Field Team next week. We look forward to hearing about the successes through the sports bulletin in the coming weeks.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
It is essential that students attend school to ensure growth in their learning continues for lifelong success. The graphic below outlines how days absent from school can add up. These days can turn into weeks, months, and years if support is not implemented. We ask families to keep us informed of any changes in their child’s attendance and contact the college should support be needed. Attendance also contributes to our college house competition, a great initiative to build community.
