Mathematics

Open-ended problem solving promotes deep, thoughtful and creative responses from students. 

Have a go at solving some of the open-ended problem solving questions below with your child/ren (green - lower primary, yellow - middle primary and blue - upper primary).

More than one answer is acceptable and exploring possibilities is encouraged. 

The problems cover a range of mathematical concepts, such as number, space, measurement, chance and data.
