Year One/Two News

These last two weeks have been very exciting and very busy. Last week we all had a fantastic time at the Art Gallery as we explored more of the First Nations' culture and participated in an art activity where we drew and painted Bogong Moths using Ochre. We also had the privilege of meeting Wadawurrung Elder, Dr Deanne Gilson and her niece Indigo Harrison who assisted us in understanding more about the Wadawurring culture.

At the beginning of this week we also celebrated Book Week with a costume parade and awards. This was a great way to start our fun-filled week where we will explore some new books and have lots of fun in the process! We have also finished publishing our writing and have it displayed in our classroom spaces. This week we will start looking at how to write and follow a procedural text with some fun activities. In Maths we are continuing our unit on Multiplication as we look at arrays, equal groups, skip counting and some other strategies.
