A Blessing for Fathers ahead of Father's Day
Loving Father,
You trusted your Son Jesus, The child of Mary,
To the care of Joseph, an earthly father.
Bless all fathers,
As they care for their families.
Give them strength and wisdom, tenderness and patience.
Support them in the work they have to do,
Protecting those who look to them, as we look to you for love and salvation.
We ask this through Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Hello Sacred Heart School Community,
Bookweek
We have had a wonderful Week Six at Sacred Heart, celebrating Book Week. Storytime was a great night welcoming many in our community back for bed time stories and also welcoming several of our 2025 Foundation students to their first whole school community event.
Our Sacred Heart students (and their parents who likely organised it all) and Staff did an outstanding job of dressing up today for our Bookweek parade. We have lots of wonderful photos to share with you through the newsletter and on our school Facebook page.
Corryong Spirit
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to cater for the Corryong Spirit event. It was wonderful to have so many of our Parents & Carers in attendance and it was great to represent our school by participating in an important event for the Corryong community.
Principal Appraisal
Thank you to everyone who was able to provide feedback through the family surveys or in person to the panel as part of my appraisal in recent weeks. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear the feedback from our families, staff and students on my leadership here at Sacred Heart School, sharing the positives and the opportunities to improve upon.
Father's Day Celebrations
We invite all of the special people in the lives of our students to attend our Father's Day Breakfast, followed by the Yr 2/3/4 Assembly.
Please email admin@shcorryong.catholic.edu.au or comment on the post on our school Facebook page to help us understand our number of attendees for catering.
ORIMA Survey
Senior students, staff and families will be asked to complete a School Engagement Survey in the next fortnight. This is an annual survey that all are invited to participate in, with the feedback and data used to inform our future goals at Sacred Heart School. An email will be sent to families with your access details next week and I encourage you all to participate to help continue to grow and improve Sacred Heart School.
Best of luck to all of our students, staff, parents and carers participating and supporting those in the Grand Final tomorrow, may the best team win (e.g. Collingwood over Melbourne).
~ Justine
Please see the 'School Calendar' tab for some of the key dates for next term.
The Staff at Sacred Heart School Corryong would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school is situated.
