Living with Strength and Kindliness
The Bishop Joe Grech Scholarship is a prestigious recognition awarded to students who exemplify the spirit of service and hope within our community. Named in honor of the late Bishop Joe Grech, a beloved spiritual leader known for his deep faith and dedication to spreading the message of hope, this scholarship celebrates those who actively use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to make a positive impact.
This year, we are proud to acknowledge Claire Coulturi who was awarded this scholarship. Claire has developed an action plan to further use her gifts to lead the college in an action of service to support members of the wider Echuca Moama community.
This past week, our school community came together for a week of engagement, focusing on deepening our faith and enriching our learning experiences. Staff members participated in a series of professional development sessions that explored the integration of faith into our daily teaching practices, with a particular emphasis on fostering a spirit of encounter—meeting each other where we are and nurturing our unique gifts.
Throughout the week, we were reminded of the importance of living out our faith not just in words, but in actions that reflect our values and commitment to the common good. In conjunction with this week of staff learning, we are excited to extend an invitation to our students to apply for school leadership opportunities. These roles are a chance for students to take an active part in shaping and serving our school community, leading their peers by example, and contributing their ideas and energy to various initiatives.
We encourage all students who feel called to leadership to step forward and apply. This is a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, make a meaningful impact on our school, and grow in both faith and service.
As we continue to reflect on the lessons learned from this week of engagement, we look forward to seeing our students rise to the challenge of leadership, bringing their diverse talents and perspectives to the forefront as they lead us into a future filled with hope.
