We are thrilled to invite current Year 8 families to a special Parent and Student Information Night on Tuesday 3 September, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Oak Centre at our Brigidine Campus.
This evening is designed to provide you with valuable insights into the new Year 9 Program that will be introduced at St Joseph’s College in 2025.
During the event, you will hear from our educators about the innovative changes and exciting opportunities that await your child in Year 9.
The presentation will cover the key elements of our new program, including the integration of challenging, rich, and differentiated learning experiences aimed at engaging students and promoting deep learning.
What to Expect:
- New Year 9 Program Overview: Learn about how we are enhancing our core curriculum with hands-on, project-based learning experiences that bridge the gap between foundational knowledge and real-world application.
- The Amplify Program: Explore our cutting-edge program that incorporates the Design Thinking process, empowering students to tackle complex challenges creatively and confidently.
- New Metrics Partnership: Discover our collaboration with Melbourne University’s New Metrics Program to assess and develop critical, transferable skills such as Communication, Agency in Learning, and Active Citizenship.
- Elective Options Display: After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to explore the various elective options available and speak directly with subject teachers.
This event is an excellent opportunity for both parents and students to gain a comprehensive understanding of what the Year 9 experience will look like at St Joseph’s College. Whether your child is passionate about the arts, sports, or exploring new academic challenges, there is something for everyone in our enriched curriculum.
We encourage you to join us as we embark on this transformative journey in education. Together, we can amplify the power of learning, shaping confident, capable lifelong learners who are ready to make meaningful contributions to their communities and future workplaces.
