Good afternoon OLSC families   

To all of the OLSC families I thank you for everything this term and wish for a relaxing break over the next 2 weeks.  I know many of our parents continue working throughout the term break and it is my sincere hope that you get at least some time away from the morning alarm clock.  

I congratulate the students on their work over the last 10 weeks.  You have all done  a wonderful job this term.  

On behalf of our school community I thank the staff for their care and dedication to the students and OLSC wider community.  You work and support is appreciated greatly.  Enjoy the break.  

SCHOOL HATS 

It is that time of the year again.  Please help your child / children find their school hat. From the beginning of Term 4 all students need to have their school hat in order to go outside.  New and replacement hats are available from the school office.  

SCHOOL UNIFORM

The 2023 Uniform shop hours are set out below.  

Mondays: 11.00 am - 1.00 pm

Tuesdays: 8.30 am - 3.15 pm

Wednesdays: 11.00 am - 1.00 pm

Thursdays: 8.30 am - 3.15 pm

Online orders are available by setting up an account.  For families that have not yet set up an account you can do so by clicking on the link below and following the propmts.

Online orders are sent home twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.  If you know what items and sizes you need, you are also welcome to call and order over the phone.

If you require a uniform fitting, please call 9974 8500 and speak to Beck or Chrissy about booking in for an appointment.

Here's a recap of the last two weeks at OLSC... 

Year 5/6 Camp from Wednesday 6th to Friday 8th September 

The students and staff from the 5/6 area attended camp at Mt Evelyn last week.  By all reports a fabulous time was had by all and even with some very inclement weather on the Friday they managed to have a great time and participate in all planned events.  

Prep Zoo Excursion

On Thursday 14th September the Prep students attended the Royal Melbourne Zoo.   Thanks to Amanda for organising this massive day out and to all of the parents and grand-parents that were able to attend. 

Learning Expo 

This morning we had a very successful learning expo.  This was an opportunity for our students to showcase their learning and hard work.  The topic that has been studied throughout the term was sustainability and the amount of learning that was shared was impressive.  Well done to the students and thank you to the staff for preparing the students so well.  

Whole School Assembly 

Thanks to everyone that could join us for our Whole School Assembly at 12:00pm.  It was great to see so many families were able to attend.  Well done to all students that received an award for their achievements this term.  

Here's what next term hold for us...

Year 5/6 IMAX Excursion  

The students from LC2 will be attending IMAX for an excursion on Friday 6th October.  

Multi-Cultural Day and Parade of Nations  

One of the most successful community days from last year was our Multi-Cultural day. Next term on Friday the 13th of October we have a Multi-Cultural Day and Parade of Nations planned.  I encourage everyone to join in this event and celebrate the richness of cultures here at OLSC and in the Wyndham Vale community.  

Prep Excursion to the Cinema   

The students prep will be attending the cinema for an excursion on Wednesday 18th October.  

LC1 and LC2 Mass   

Please join the LC1 and LC2 students for a shared mass on Friday 27th October in the Sports Centre.  

Year 3/4 Excursion  

The students from LC4 will be attending an excursion at ACMI on Tuesday 31st October.
