Principal's Message

Please take the time to read each page of our newsletter, as we provide you with information updates across each curriculum area. 

Over the last month there have been sooooo many exciting things happening at our school. We wish all families a safe term break, and can't wait to continue the fun in Term Four!

Year 3-6 Community Engagement Electives- Term Four programming

Following discussions with students in Year 3-6, we will be offering student electives again in Term Four 2023 with the added bonus that students may select an elective that they have already taken part in. 

Elective subjects will be allocated based upon student preferences. If a subject has remaining vacancies following 1-4 preferences, then students who have already undertaken this elective may be allocated, with preference being given to Year Six students. 

Please be aware that students in our school band, and those students who have qualified for the aerobics team will not take part in allocating a Term Four preference. 

Elective choices will be distributed to families in Week One, Term Four. Elective session dates are listed on the calendar page of this newsletter. 

Celebrating student achievements beyond the school gates

We have the most amazing students at Upwey South Primary School, and quite often their brilliance extends beyond the boundaries of our school fence. With community sport, artistic endeavors and other events back in full-swing we are wanting to use our newsletter as another chance to celebrate the achievements of our students beyond the school gates.

Upwey-Tecoma Under 12 girls Premiers for season 2024

A huge congratulations to the under-12 girls Upwey-Tecoma football team, who were undefeated all season, and won the grand final for 2024. Well done to Quinn C, Isla O, Eden M, Steveie J, and Skylar F.
