Student Tour to Japan 2024 Parent/Student Information Session

The Languages department is pleased to announce that we are offering students studying Japanese in years 9-11 in 2024, the exciting opportunity to participate on the Southern Christian College’s first Japanese study tour planned to occur during the Term 2 school holidays 8 July – 20 July 2024.

A carefully selected program that will include visiting Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima has been put together. Students will experience Tokyo Disney Land, a Maiko and Tea Ceremony Experience, visit the sight of the first atomic bombing in Hiroshima and listen to the testimonial of a bomb survivor. They will also visit other places of historical and cultural differences, including the ancient city of Kyoto.

A parent/student information session will be held in the next couple of weeks where detailed information about the study tour, such as costings, itinerary, accommodation, airport charges, transport and expressions of interest etc. will be discussed in detail.
