Celebrating Fathers and other special men at CPS
The PFA again this year organised a range of beautiful gifts for students to browse and purchase this morning, at the Fathers' Day and Gifts of Appreciation stall.
A big thank you to Pooja Jethra - Mum of Prisha in grade 6 and Nimay in grade 4 - for organising this great event once again, and to all the other parents who volunteered to help wrap the gifts and run the stall.
The celebrations will continue on Friday, with the PFA hosting a BBQ for children to enjoy with their fathers, grandfathers and father figures, on Friday 1 September (following the open classroom afternoon).
From 3:30pm, volunteer parents will be selling sausages, vegetarian samosas and drinks in the Prep playground near Graceburn Avenue. We look forward to seeing you there!
There are a few shifts left to help with the BBQ - particularly pack up. If you are available, please add your name to SignUp here - https://signup.com/go/rfQFDNp.
PFA Sushi Day - Thursday 14th September - orders now open in Qkr
The Term 3 PFA Sushi Fundraiser will be held on Thursday 14th September and orders are now open in Qkr. Sushi days are a great fundraising initiative, supported by local Carnegie business owner Ming, from the Carnegie Central (Koornang Rd) Woolworths Sushi section.
How / where do I order?
When ordering, please make sure you do so through the ‘PFA Fundraising & Events’ Menu in Qkr, rather than the regular lunch order menu.
When do orders close?
Orders can be placed in Qkr until midnight on Monday 11th September.
Can I cancel my order?
If necessary, orders can also be cancelled up until midnight on Monday 11th September - see instructions on page 4 of the Qkr guide on the school website for help with cancelling an order. You will receive a credit in Qkr that can be applied to future PFA purchases. Unfortunately in the event that students are absent on sushi day, and the order hasn’t been cancelled in Qkr by the cut off time, we are unable to offer a refund.
Thank you for your constant support!
Popcorn Friday
This Friday will be the last popcorn day for the term - for the Preps - Grade 2s. A big thank you to all the parent helpers who have made this fun and yummy treat happen each week.
Special thanks to:
- Eloise and Issy's Mum, Candice
- Audrey and Adeline's Mum, Lee; and
- Victor & Ruth's Mum and Dad, Simone and James.
Icypoles will be back in Term 4!
