YEARS 3 - 6 HOUSE ATHLETICS DAY 

We had a terrific day on Monday, August 14th for our Year 3-6 House Athletics Carnival. The sun was shining and our CPS students were ready to set new records on the Duncan Mackinnon Athletics track. The events throughout the day included, 100m sprint, 800m run, long jump and triple jump, discus, hurdles and some fun unique relays.

The day was a huge success with many students talking about it in the days following and students continuing to show off their ribbons for finishing top 4 or their well done ribbons for showing great sportsmanship.

We had a new award to give out this year and it was to the age group champions for being successful across many events. These students below were awarded the champion certificates in each age group for showcasing their skills and abilities across many events.

The winning house for the day was Kokaribb. They were very strong in all age groups and took out the trophy by over 20 points to its nearest rival.

Mr Pollard and Mr Hodges would like to give a special thankyou to our parent volunteers on the day. The event would not have been the great success it was without their support. 

Well done to all involved and we wish the district team all the best for September 7th and our Junior students who will be competing in their Prep - 2 athletics day on Friday, September 1st.
