HAPP.E. FRIDAY!

The NPS Health and P.E day relays this week's Leadership Report

This week, Newlands Primary School joined many schools across the nation in celebrating National Health and Physical Education Day. This special day holds immense significance for our students as it promotes physical activity, healthy living, and overall wellbeing. We participated in a day filled with exciting activities that emphasised the importance of health and PE in our lives.

At the Coburg Athletic Track, our students had the opportunity to partake in a wide range of physical activities, including games like poison ball, an obstacle course, dance and movement sessions, and boxercise. These activities not only got our students moving but also promoted teamwork and collaboration.

Back at school, our students also engaged in a PE rotation, where students participated in various activities and games. This allowed them to explore different aspects of physical education and discover new ways to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

Our celebration of National Health and PE Day was a reflection of our commitment to being a healthy and active community. It emphasised the joy of movement and the importance of having fun while being physically active. Encouraging our students to embrace physical activity as a part of their daily lives is not only beneficial for their physical health but also contributes to their mental and emotional wellbeing.

Here's to a happy, healthy, and active community at Newlands Primary School!

Yours faithfully,

Raul - Health and PE teacher
