Traffic and Car Parking Rules

Thank you to the overwhelming majority of parents who drive, park and collect their children in a responsible manner. A few reminders about College rules which are all in the interests of child safety:

• Please observe speed limits – 40kph on the entrance road and 20kph around the internal ring road.
• At drop-off and pick-up, please never expect your children to cross the ring road unless at the supervised Gym pedestrian crossing.
• When dropping off or picking up children in the main parent car park, cars should be parked in marked spaces; children should never be crossing the path of traffic to access a car.

Parent Code of Conduct

The College’s Parent Code of Conduct is published on the Aitken website; it emphasises the expected behaviours of any member of the College community. It is extremely disappointing to occasionally hear of someone being abusive to a staff member or other worker, especially when that person may be carrying out duties in ensuring the safety of children. I know that most members of our parent body would never conduct themselves in this manner. I am currently seeking the driver of Honda 1RX-2TG in relation to this issue.

Primary school orders are delivered to classrooms and secondary students have priority access to the canteen to collect orders, which saves them from lining up and waiting to purchase their lunch.
