Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last Wednesday we had a lovely warm day down at Jubilee Oval where we celebrated our students sporting achievements at the Sacred Heart Sports Carnival. It was so fantastic to see all the students participating and showing true sportsmanship. It was also great to see so many parents there on the day cheering on their children. The parents verse students race was certainly a highlight of the day and I know the students certainly enjoyed the race. 

On the weekend we had our Enrolment Mass for those students making their Reconciliation and First Eucharist. First Reconciliation will take place this Tuesday 15 August at 12 midday followed by the Assumption Mass (Holy Day of Obligation). All families are welcome to attend. First Eucharist (for Year 3 Catholic students) will take place this Saturday 19 August at 4pm at Sacred Heart Parish Church. Further dates and information can be found on the RE page of the newsletter. 

Transition for Kindergarten 2024 continues this term. Please note that the  Kindergarten Parent Information Session that was scheduled for this Thursday has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

If you know of anyone wishing to enrol their child for Kindergarten in 2024 and to participate in the transition program this year please call the school.   

Mrs Kath Baird will be away this week due to illness so Mrs Kathlene Fenton will be Acting Principal during this time. Ms Robyn Traynor is also away from the school this week so if you need to contact the school and no one answers please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
