Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s been a busy and exciting couple of weeks for our Secondary students, filled with engaging learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.
Our Future Ready students recently visited Scienceworks, where they explored how electricity is generated and interacted with a variety of hands-on exhibitions such as Lightning Room, Think Ahead, and Sportsworks. The excursion was not only educational but also a great opportunity to practise life and community skills, and we are proud to share that our students were commended for their excellent behaviour and respectful manners throughout the day.
In Interschool Sports, our students have kicked off the AFL program with great enthusiasm. They’ve started learning essential skills such as kicking, handballing,
marking, and working as a team—building both their confidence and physical literacy in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Our Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) students also had a fantastic opportunity to attend the Post-School Options Expo. This event allowed them to explore different pathways and services available once they finish school. The experience has sparked valuable conversations and will lead to further visits to some of the facilities in Term 3, supporting our students in planning for their future with greater clarity and confidence.
We warmly invite all parents and carers of VPC students, graduating students, and anyone wanting to learn more in advance, to attend the Post-School Options Information Session via Webex on Thursday 19 June.

This session will provide valuable insights into what to expect after school, the range of available pathways, and will include time for questions and discussion to help support your planning for the future.

ROOM 27
During Term 2, Room 27 students have been learning and having fun.
Campbell, Michelle, Anthony, Kerem, Carlos, Ismail, Joshua, Alicia and Nafiz have had a great learning and fun time during Term 2 - 2025.

Kerem and Ismail have attended “Enable on Wednesday” to gain work experience in warehousing. All of them enjoyed and had fun.
On Fridays, Students from Room 27 have enjoyed Hands on Learning Cafe.
Nelly, Pauline, Melissa and Kim are looking forward to continuing assisting students in Room 27 to have a rewarding learning journey during Term 2.
