Middle Sub School News

Amelia Frantz - Middle Sub School Leader
Dear families and carers,
The past 2 weeks have really flown by! During Week 7, students enjoyed watching the Musica Viva incursion. Lunch clubs have included the library and dance clubs. It is great to see students trying new activities at lunch times. As always, students have been working hard on maths, music, art, science, literacy, PE and cooking and gardening skills. Recipes have been pizza muffins and quesadillas.
Opportunities for student voice and agency have included completing the Attitudes to School Survey. We are also in the process of planning some exciting excursion opportunities for Term 3. Students have provided lots of ideas about their preferred excursions.
Thursday July 3 is house colours day and we are celebrating with a disco. We encourage students to wear their house colours on this day.
A reminder to please inform the school of your child's absence by texting the students name, room number and reason for absence to the student absence phone.
The number is 0439 114 197.
Winter seems to be on its way. We are encouraging students to wear warm clothing such as jumpers, long pants and coats. Please let me know if we can be of further assistance.
Thank you for supporting the students, stay warm, and reach out to me anytime,
Amelia
ROOM 18
Room 18 have been actively engaging with school life through a range of exciting excursions. Our students love accessing the community and exploring new environments. So far, we have enjoyed swimming, visited the Melbourne Museum twice, explored the Melbourne Zoo, and spent time at the local library. It is always fantastic to see students thriving outside the classroom, and their excitement and enthusiasm make these experiences truly memorable. The Room 18 staff are looking forward to many more adventures throughout the rest of the year.
