All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

❤️GROWING TOGETHER❤️

🌻PRIDE of PLACE🌻

😱The race that stops a nation 🐽🏆, turtle time 🐢 and a Ripple, Rumble, Rock 🙏💜

🐽‘The race that stops a nation’ is gaining momentum and is now in full organisational swing. It’s going to be huge 💪! For those who have not heard our world famous Guinea pigs will be racing against each other to see who is the fastest 🔥. We have secured the best race caller in the nation, it will be live streamed into all classrooms 🎥 and a couple of our Friday Festival musos 🎶🎸🎤 (Sam, Jimmy, LuLu and Thea) will be smashing out what is sure to be an unforgettable version of our 🇦🇺 national anthem 😭.

Check out Jonah and Alex custom designing the race track 🧐. Both boys and track are built for pure speed 💫.

If you’re looking to find a winner 🥇 in the race, be sure to check out The Izzy and LuLu Form Guide 😎. They cover all things race related, including fashions on the field 🤭. Incredible insights, girls 🤩. Check out last week's newsletter if you want to catch up on all things Smudge and Swifty. Featured today are Caramel and Snowy. They are sitting in the very front row 😍.

Caramel - Caramel has black, white and caramel coloured fur. She looks similar to Luna and the only way to tell them apart is the giant patch of caramel coloured fur near her bottom 🫣😂. She looks beautiful both from the front and behind 😝. Can’t win the race but a huge chance to win fashions on the field 😍. She loves to be cuddled and munch on grass.

Snowy - Snowy sheds so when you hold her you get covered in white fur. I wonder how she grows it back 🙃. She has one little patch of black hair just above her left eye. Black, white and one eye…she must be a one eyed Collingwood supporter 🥳🖤🤍. Snowy can get a little anxious and struggles to move off the start line. No chance in the race and unlikely to win fashions on the field 🥺. Participation award at best 😇.  She remains one of our most popular playtime pigs 🐽😊.

Tiny, our smallest turtle 🐢, made a surprise appearance at Reptile Wednesday this week. Most of our reptiles are now brumating🥶.  Over the winter months they spend most of their time laying dormant 😴. Sounds good to me. Maybe we should all find some time to rest and recover 🤔☺️. Here’s Grace, Nella, Kathy and Morgan with Tiny 💜 and Morgan and Matthew checking out Tiny 🙂

😇👀 Have a look at the feathers on these two. 🦆Sporty Spice and Jess having a bit of quiet time together 😍. You’ve picked the perfect spot down in our magnificent garden 🌱.

And 🔥 Scarlett’s fashion sense is Milan 🇮🇹 fashion week good 🤩. Beanie and sunglasses 🕶️ are the best Scarlett. You rock 🥁. Not a bad looking rooster 🐔 next to you either 😵‍💫. Shame about the feathers though 😱😆.

🙏💜 Ripple, Rumble, Rock Wednesday morning yoga was amazing. Thanks to parents and students for joining us to ripple some good vibes deep into our soul and out into the world. Check it out on Instagram or Facebook if you’ve not yet seen it. Even better come join us next Wednesday morning 7.45am. Parents most welcome and yoga mats provided. We’d love to see you there. 💜🙏
