MACSEYE

The fun at MACSeye shows no signs of slowing down!

The children have embraced every opportunity with energy, curiosity, and an eagerness to connect. From the moment they walk through the doors, the day is filled with laughter, discovery, and moments of meaningful growth. One of the standout projects this fortnight was the creation of our very own MACSeye letterbox. The children brainstormed ideas, voted on designs, and then brought their vision to life with colour, creativity, and a strong sense of collaboration. Now proudly on display, the letterbox has become a central feature in our space — a place where children can leave kind notes, drawings, and messages for one another.

Outdoor play has been bursting with energy and imagination. The playground is where many friendships have taken root and grown, as children run, climb, and collaborate. Games like Memory Tagand 44 Home Base have become fast favourites, with rules evolving and strategies developing as thedays go on. These games have offered countless opportunities for children to practice teamwork, negotiation, and active listening — all while having an absolute blast. The sandpit has also been a hive of creativity. On one particularly impressive day, a group of children constructed an elaborate system of tunnels and roads, claiming there were “186 routes for the trucks to follow.” Racetracks, castles, and entire cities have emerged from the sand, shaped by collaboration and rich storytelling. It’s clear that when given the space and time, the children & #39;s imaginations truly have no limits.

Our ‘Trestle Tracks’ game has also been a daily hit. Children gather to build towering marble runs, experimenting with height, speed, and design. Every collapse becomes a lesson in persistence and engineering, and every successful run is celebrated with cheers and high-fives. It’s been a fantasticoutlet for problem-solving and cooperative play.As we reflect on this first month, we are so proud of the vibrant, supportive, and joyful environment thatis growing here at MACSeye. The children have not only settled in — they’ve taken ownership of the space, shaping it into a place where their ideas, voices, and friendships thrive.
