Principal's Message

Rachel Baker | Principal

Dear Parents,

BEING CATHOLIC

Honouring Our Catholic Identity and the Brigidine Charism at St Aidan’s

At St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School, we strive to live out our Catholic identity while embracing the Brigidine charism, which is embedded in our school community. Guided by the values of compassion, respect, justice, forgiveness, and charity, we recognise that our Catholic foundation is central to who we are, while the spirit of our founding Brigidine Order enriches the way we express and live our faith.

Our Catholic identity provides us with the core truths of our faith and a commitment to God’s mission. As a Catholic school, we proudly uphold these beliefs, ensuring that every student grows in understanding, love, and service. The Brigidine charism adds a distinctive element to our identity, shaping our interactions, our traditions, and the way we nurture each child in an environment of kindness and respect.

At St Aidan's we embrace both our Catholic roots and the unique gifts given to us by our Brigidine heritage. These are not competing aspects but complementary elements that strengthen our school community. By fostering a culture where justice and charity guide our actions, where forgiveness is extended with grace, and where respect and compassion are at the heart of every interaction, we create a school environment where all can flourish.

We continue to remain intentional in how we present ourselves to eachother and the wider community. St Aidan’s is not just a Brigidine school, it is a Catholic school in the Brigidine tradition. This distinction ensures that our Catholic foundation remains strong while celebrating the unique charism that inspires us.

Together, let us move forward with hearts open to faith and a commitment to the values that make St Aidan’s such a special place for learning and growth.

PENTECOST

Please join us for for Family Parish Mass this Sunday, 8th June at 9.30am, as we celebrate Pentecost. Pentecost marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, an event that empowered them to spread the message of Jesus Christ and is considered the birth of the Church. It is a time to reflect on the gifts of the Holy Spirit – wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, faith and how these gifts continue to guide and inspire us today.

BEST WISHES

Next week will be Mrs. Fenech's last week before she begins her maternity leave. We are thrilled for her as she embarks on this exciting time. Mrs. Fenech has been an invaluable member of our team, and her dedication and contributions will be greatly missed. We wish her all the very best for a safe and joyful arrival of her baby, and we look forward to hearing her happy news!

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome back Mrs. Ripepi from her maternity leave. Mrs. Ripepi will be stepping into Mrs. Fenech's role, and we know she will bring her expertise and passion back to our school community. We're excited to have her back and are confident she will ensure a smooth transition.

May this year be one of GOODNESS, TRUTH and BEAUTY.

Take care and God Bless.

Kind regards,
