Start-Up 

Week 1 and 2 have been what we refer to as our WPS 'Start-Up'. We have a series of lessons designed to help students establish routines and get to know each other. Staff use this as a chance to begin forming relationships with students and better understand how each student learns. It has been great to walk around the school and witness how settled classrooms are and how engaged students are with their learning.

Little Learners Love Literacy

Our Foundation team have already commenced LLLL, and the students are absolutely loving it. This week, students have been learning about the letter 'm' and the sound it makes. One of the lessons required students to do jumping jacks when they hear a word from Mrs Colombo that has the 'm' sound. They had to stand still if the word didn't have the 'm' sound. 

Year 5/6 City Experience Camp 2025

We have been busy planning the Year 5/6 City Experience Camp. The camp dates are Monday, 16th June, to Wednesday, 18th June 2025. At the moment, we are focused on booking activities. We will release a Compass event in Term 1, Week 4, providing more information about the camp and requesting a deposit to confirm student numbers. The School Savings Bonus can be used for this event.

A camp information evening in the school gym will be held on Tuesday 18th March (Week 8) at 5.00 pm. More details will follow via Compass closer to this date.
