Year 4 Camp
Year 4 Camp
On the 20th of November, the Year 4 students departed for their first ever camp to Adanac Camp, Yarra Junction.
During the three days, students participated in various activities: flying fox, water slide, archery, camp cooking, photo hunt, canoeing and much more. Despite the sweltering heat, students participated with resilience and enthusiasm as they braced through the heat. On the evening of the first night, students completed a bush walk to the campfire spot where they were able to roast marshmallows. The following night, the students had a Movie night with some popcorn snacks.
All students demonstrated the school values and reflected on the camp as a great learning experience of building independence and resilience.
On behalf of the Year 4 Team, we would like to thank the amazing parent helpers and Educational Staff who volunteered their time to support the teachers and students.

“The thing that I loved to have or do most at camp was probably eating the tasty foods the chefs cooked and sleeping in the cozy cabins.”

“The flying fox was really amazing but at the end it was a bit shocking because a tyre stops us. At the end of the day Year 4 Camp was amazing.”

We also got to go to a half-restaurant and there we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner, there was lots of fun things that we got to do in the restaurant like the lip sync battles and we even got to watch the teacher’s dance. “On November the 20th to the 22nd we went to ADNAC for a Camping trip. There were a lot of kids. It was a 2-hour bus drive. When we arrived we had to go into the meeting room and then we settled into our Cabins. Then we got shown around the Camp by the camp workers then we did some Activities. I was in group one, and I did the water slide and team initiatives. We had morning tea and then lunch and did some more activities. We had to get changed often because we were all wet and full of sweat. For free time we all played Gaga ball and Cage soccer. We had dinner and the dinner was so good. It was AFC {ADANC Fried Chicken} with some rice and vegetables. Then we had a campfire and we got 5 marshmallows each and then we went to bed.”
