Goodbye Year 6 Students

Graduation Celebrations

Year 6 Graduation on Monday was sensational! We had to make a number of last minute changes due to the extreme heat, but this just made the event even more memorable. Well done to our Year 6 students for being part of such a special evening and enjoying the opportunity to come together as a year level with parents and staff.

Reflections on Year 6

Camp Jungai

  • Camp was my favourite because I got to hang out with my friends in our cabin! We got to participate in activities everyday and I enjoyed each one! ~ Heidi, 6A
  • My highlight of the year was camp, the entire experience was filled with many amazing emotions. At Camp Jungai, I made many memorable moments that I will remember for the rest of my life. I became closer with all my friends, I saw things I had never seen before and best of all, I had an amazing time just having fun! Camp Jungai truly will be something I remember forever. ~ Heather, 6A
  • I enjoyed camp because I was in a cabin with lots of my friends. The activities were really fun. My favourite was the high ropes course. ~ Andie, 6B

Book Week Fun

  • Book Week dress up day was really enjoyable because I was with all my friends in costume! Everybody got to dress up and be their favourite character for the whole day! ~ Savane, 6B
  • I enjoyed Book Week dress-up day because my friends and I dressed up as pink tradies. It was fun walking around in the parade and getting high fives from little kids. It was lots of fun! ~ Grace, 6A

Hoop Time Basketball Tournament

  • Hoop Time was so much fun! We had an awesome team, and we made it to finals. I would totally do it again! ~ Alex, 6B

Swimming Carnival

  • My highlight of the year is going to the swimming carnival because it was a hot and sunny day, and I tried a couple of 50-metre strokes that I wouldn’t normally try. We all had fun going in the water, then jumping out and feeling the warm sun. I also participated in an Egg and Spoon Race which was like a relay. We had to hold a fake egg and run in the water passing it to our teammate on the other side. This was by far the best swimming carnival I have been to through all my years in primary school. ~ Hazel, 6B
  • My favourite Year 6 memory is the Swimming Carnival because I won ribbons in all of my races and had fun with all my friends! ~ Lily, 6B

Year 6 Concert 'Let the Games Begin'

  • As I was about to go on stage for my lines (as Bowzer), I felt so nervous. I had practised to get this right as I didn’t want to mess up. Being on stage was the best. I liked being dressed up and saying my lines. It was definitely worth it! ~ Jasper, 6A

Triathlon

  • My favourite highlight for the year was the triathlon. My team practised really hard and we came first in our event! ~ Monique, 6C

Farewell FPS

  • Throughout my time at Fairfield Primary, I have learnt more than the workings of a cartesian plane or how to analyse a text on the return of the Thylacine. I have learnt how to belong, how to make friends, how to express myself, I am still figuring out who I am, yet FPS has put me on the path for that. When I leave, I am not just going to miss the art room or the playground, but the community that I have become a part of. One that will partially stay with me for the rest of my life! Thank you! ~ Sadie, 6C
  • These seven years at Fairfield Primary School have been my best! I will never forget them. From Prep to Grade 6, these are memories I will forever treasure! I’m really glad I didn’t go to another school! Thank you for taking care of me and being the best primary school ever! I will miss you! ~ Penny, 6C
  • After a time here that feels like both forever and no more than a day, Fairfield Primary School has become a community of caring people who I know I can rely on.  ~ Selby, 6C
  • I’ve made so many friends at Fairfield Primary and with those friends, I’ve made so many memories – memories I’ll never forget! I’m so sad to be leaving a school that has helped me be my best self. Bye FPS, I will miss you! ~ Audrey, 6A
  • Bye FPS, I will miss you! I have had a great time here and I’ll be sad to go! ~ Margot 6B
  • In my seven years at Fairfield Primary School, I have grown so much (not physically, but we don’t talk about that!) I have made so many friends and it will be so sad when I leave. Goodbye FPS! ~ Billy, 6C
  • I will miss my friends, teachers and how the school works. i cannot wait for high school! ~ Eva, 6A
  • I’ve really enjoyed my time at FPS! I will miss my friends, teachers, classmates and everyone from Year 6! I’ve made lots of new friends this year and I will miss them so much! Goodbye Fairfield Primary School! ~ Eliza, 6C
