Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,
ANZAC Day is a day of remembrance and commemoration, honouring the brave soldiers who fought and died for our country during the Gallipoli Campaign of World War I. Through paying tribute to their sacrifice, courage, and selflessness, we acknowledge the critical role they played in shaping our country's history.
Participating in events like the ANZAC Day March is invaluable for our students, instilling essential values such as community, respect, and pride in one's country. Through these events, students can learn the importance of sacrifice, selflessness, and courage, qualities that are fundamental to becoming a better person and contributing positively to society.
I take immense pride in joining our students and staff as we represent our school at the annual Anzac Day March. As a school, we remain committed to participating in community events and supporting our students' growth as respectful and responsible members of our society.
To participate in this community event on Saturday, April 25th, please provide consent via the Compass event shared with families last term. Details are as follows:
- Children are asked to wear their full summer uniform. Please make sure boys' shirts are tucked in and that all uniforms are neat and tidy (including hats).
- Please meet the teachers at 9.30am in Bourke Street.
- At the conclusion of the march, all students can be collected from the Number 1 Oval in Kable Avenue.
The significance of events like ANZAC Day for our students' growth and development as individuals cannot be emphasised enough.
We hope that our students' participation in the ANZAC Day March this Saturday will serve as a valuable learning experience, encouraging them to continue showing their support for our nation's history and heritage.
Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
I wish you all the best for a wonderful Term 2,
Alison Hatton
(Principal)
