LOTE

Level 3 students have been learning greetings and numbers in Chinese. They chose their own superhero names and introduced themselves to their classmates in Chinese. They have also explored Chinese numbers using colourful counters to represent different numbers and have been practising writing Chinese characters.

It has been wonderful to see their excitement and growing confidence in using a new language!

Level 4 students have built on their learning from Level 3 and can now count up to 99 in Chinese! To reinforce their number skills, they played fun games like BINGO and Guess the Number. Students have also begun learning the names of body parts in Chinese.

Level 5 students have taken a big step in their Chinese learning by installing the Chinese Pinyin (Romanised script) keyboard on their computers. They can now type Chinese characters by inputting Pinyin, enhancing their digital language skills. This term, they have been learning how to express dates and days of the week in Chinese, deepening their understanding of time-related vocabulary.

Level 6 students have been expanding their language skills by learning how to talk about countries and nationalities in Chinese. They have been practising asking and answering questions about names and nationalities with a partner, strengthening their conversational skills in Chinese.
