A helping hand for families in need.
On Thursday the 28th of November Everlearn Preschool will be helping Dandelion Support Network by providing their carpark for Dandelion’s vans to collect donations for their wonderful service.
Dandelion Support Network is a grassroots not-for-profit that supports children and families in need.
Their team accepts, sorts and safely checks children’s clothes and nursery items for families in need. They work with hospitals and support agencies to provide these items to the families. They receive no government funding for the services they provide and rely on the generosity of the community and their supporters to continue their work.
The Dandelion Support Network will be accepting donations from 10:30am till 12noon in the car park at Everlearn Preschool, located on 58 Arden Street, Clovelly. Their volunteers accept donations of good quality preloved and new nursery furniture and items for babies and children for families in need.Here is a list of things they are always short of:
- Bassinet, cot and single bed linen (fitted sheets, blankets, mattress protectors, SB doonas)
- Towels
- Nappy bag items – nappy creams, bath wash, disposable change mats, nappy sacks etc.
- Newborn nappies
- Toys and board books for babies
- Toys, games and puzzles children 6+
- AA and AAA batteries
- Clothes size 12-16 for boys and girls
- New toys for Christmas gifts
- Stationery
- School backpacks, drink bottles, lunch boxes
- Manual breast pumps
- Baby bottles and teats
