Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we wrap up an exhilarating semester, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible efforts and achievements of our Grade 5 students. It has been a jam-packed term, filled with memorable experiences and learning opportunities that have truly showcased the hard work and enthusiasm of our young learners.

This term, our Grade 5s have truly excelled, and we couldn’t be prouder. Our students had the opportunity to shine on stage during our glorious concert, where their talent and dedication were on full display. The performances were nothing short of spectacular, and it was heartwarming to see our students bring their creative visions to life.

In addition to their musical prowess, our Grade 5s embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Halls Gap. The camp was a wonderful blend of fun and learning, offering our students a chance to bond with their peers, explore the great outdoors, and participate in a range of exciting activities. From hiking and team-building exercises to high ropes and abseiling, we really packed in a lot.

We are thrilled with the progress and enthusiasm our students have shown throughout the term. Their commitment to their studies and their willingness to embrace new experiences have been truly inspiring. As we move into the next phase of the school year, we look forward to building on these experiences and continuing to support our students in their growth and development.

Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement. It has been a fantastic term, and we can’t wait to see what the next one will bring!

Professional Learning Community 6 (Grade 6)

This week, we are nearing the end of our focus on the text, PAPER PLANES. Students have been making connections to social and moral issues, different characters, and relationships. We are practising writing a letter to the main character, Dylan. Once we have finished the text, we will be watching the movie as a whole PLC.

Next week, we hold our Term 3 Celebration for students who have shown positive behaviour and completed 30 nights of home reading this term. Students will participate in the PLC 6 AMAZING RACE and if completed correctly, the last clue will lead them to a sausage sizzle. We are sure, you will hear all about it. We are sure, the students will have an AMAZING TIME.

School holidays are fast approaching, which means Term 4 is right around the corner. Please make sure students have their school hats ready to go!

We hope you have an enjoyable and restful two week break, bring on Term 4! It is certainly going to be a busy term with assessments, Energy Breakthrough, High School Transitions and finally… GRADUATION!
