What's making news this fortnight
Our Lower Middle Year & Upper Middle Year students will be heading to the Tatura Outdoor Pool on Friday the 1st of March between 10.00am-1.15pm.
Students will travel by bus to and from the pool and are required to bring bathers, towel, hat, sunscreen, food and drinks for the day.
Permission forms to attend have been sent home and need to be signed and returned to classrooms by Wednesday 28th February to allow students to attend.
If you have not received a permission form or require another one, please get in touch with classroom teachers or the school office.
Please note the following important dates where school will be closed:
*The final day of Term 1 is Thursday 28th March and students will finish school an hour earlier. Buses will also run an hour earlier on this day.
Early Rooms - we have a limited capacity to supervise students before school in the morning. Any requests for this must be approved prior. For those students already accessing the Early Room, please remember they are not to be dropped off at the school any earlier than 8.30am.
Our small carpark can be a very busy place! A reminder to please adhere to the 5kmp/h speed limit at all times.
Staff supervise the car park during the following pick up and drop off times:
Morning drop off: 9.15 - 9.30am
Afternoon pick up: 2.30 - 3.00pm
Please respect the designated disability carparks. If you have mobility concerns/issues getting students from the car into the school yard please chat to classroom teachers or office staff about how we can assist with this. Otherwise we are happy to help with applications for an accessible parking permit to enable you to use these parks.
Parent/carers are reminded to please return any outstanding permission packs as soon as possible.
These are required before we can commence some extra curricular activities, such as Community Access bus excursions.
If you have lost your pack or need help completing it, please contact the Front Office.
A reminder that the Department of Education has in place a mobile phone ban that requires students who bring mobile phones to school to have them switched off and securely put away during school hours.
This helps to ensure that school is a learning environment free from unnecessary distractions and disruptions.
We ask for the support of all our families, staff and students in continuing to support the implementation of this policy in our school.
Students who bring their phones/smart watches/ear buds to school are required to lock them away from the start of the day until home time. Exceptions are only allowed in a limited number of circumstances. Please contact your child's Unit Leader if you require more information.
Enjoy your weekend 😄
